Soo….what deals did you guys score? I’m home sick today so I must live vicariously through you!
I did get out last night after dinner to the CVS and Wags just down the road. Got the few things I’d been saving ECB’s and RR’s for, and was back home in under an hour. I sent my dh out earlier today to get the Price Adjustment at Target–no issues! I’m reading online that Target was a madhouse, as was Walmart. I hope you guys all shopped ahead!
The online deals are just as good right now…make sure to check sites like Slickdeals.net and FatWallet all throughout this weekend for the best deals! Both sites post deals lightning fast so you can get in on them before they’re sold out!

Hi! Hope you feel better soon.
I had fun. I’ve never shopped on Black Friday before but I’m an early riser anyway so I figured why not? Went to Walmart and got the Air Hogs heli/plane sets, slippers, a shop vac and a couple DVD’s. I checked out in the garden center and the line was short. Also later went back for a price adjustment on a coat I had bought for my son earlier in the week. Thanks for the tip on price adjustments…I would have never known! I thought it was very pleasant. Electronics was crowded, but I didn’t need anything there. They seemed to have plenty of stuff and even later after 10am they still had tons of big screen TV’s in the aisles. Also went back to get a gift receipt that I had forgotten to ask for in line. Big mistake because it takes a long time to do that at Customer Service.
At Target, there was no parking, but I got a spot fairly close. I was thrilled to get the dual portable DVD player I wanted. The line for the registers was around the entire store, but I didn’t mind and it went pretty quickly.
I was kind of hoping for a pink stick-vac from Wal-mart but didn’t get it. Over all, it was a fun experience and I’m glad I did it!
I did get a few things at Walmart. When I went to Toys R Us I had a really hard time… There was no cart to be found do I tried to carry stuff which didnt work out at all… I went back to the front of the store and waited a good 20 mins for a cart that never showed just to find out they were being brought to the front outside.. I went outside to get a cart leaving the things I was going to purchase inside at the cs desk… I was sooo frustrated I ended up just leaving not buying any of the things I wanted… The line was wrapped around the entire store and then some.. “note to self… No shopping on black Friday”
I braved the crowd at the outlet mall… that was an experience and a half! We got there at about 9pm (they opened at midnight), I did however manage to be one of the first 500 to get the free pair of pj’s… they weren’t worth waiting that long in the cold for though! It was pure madness out there! I ended up going to Carters to get some clothes for my daughter. I don’t think I spent over $7 on any item. That’s pretty good, considering it’s Carters! I didn’t go to bed after that experience, I was on a shopping high so I headed out to Walmart! Now that was even more madness! I got in on some of the $2 dvd deals and got a few things for my daughter, but that’s about it. No big ticket items for me! Oonce I got home I did some oniline shipping (used ebates and got the double cash back woo hoo!), I think I got the best deals online. I got some $40 and $50 sweaters for $15, got a few vera bradley purses for my mo mand grandma for about 70% off…. not too bad! AND I earned free shipping on everything that I bought online! I don’t live in the city, I live about an hour east of there, so I didn’t see much that was worth me taking a trip down there for. Thank God for Walmart price matching things! I got a few DVD’s that were marked regular price for $4 from price matching the Meijer ad! I hope the deals are better next year! I’m ready to go out again!
