When you go to install the coupon printer for the first time, make sure you do not select to install the Coupon Bar along with the Coupon Printer. I can tell you from experience that you don’t actually get more coupons that way–and the thing is a seriously annoying adware hound! It spies on you and sends all kinds of information back to their sponsors! Yuck! Like using a shopper’s card, I’m willing to make some allowances for the ability to print high-value coupons I find online. I’m not willing to have a useless piece of junk slowing down my computer and telling their bosses all my secrets! Nope, out you go!

Oh this is so timely. . . I had spyware on my computer that I just got rid of TODAY. I was running a removal program and had my computer fixit guru on the phone at the same time. I said “oh, it’s found something called Coupon Bar.” He said “GET RID OF THAT! DON’T HAVE THAT!” I thought to myself, but how will I then get coupons? Good to know I don’t need it! Ugh!
Yes, you can have the coupon printer but not coupon bar. It doesn’t give you any more coupons and you still can print the same number of coupons on coupons.com and other sites.
So… if like me, you just let it install… what’s the best way to get rid of it? Just uncheck it or is there a way to uninstall it or should I have my spyware program remove it?
I’d uninstall the whole kit and kaboodle–coupon printer too…then run your spyware to remove any lasting traces. Then re-install the coupon printer–and just make sure to uncheck the box that installs the coupon bar!
Yeah, I did that and it deleted all the coupon printer and now I can’t print any of them. It tells me it has installed the coupon printers - nothing. I’ve even installed the coupons.com one like 5 times now and still nothing.
Any suggestions?
Check in the tools section of your internet browser to make sure the coupon printer is enabled. Sometimes it isn’t and that will keep it from working. I often have to switch between IE and Firefox–some won’t work in Firefox, others won’t work in IE. Very frustrating!
