   They have changed the wording on the MealBox q’s. It now says 1 per transaction instead of 1 per purchase. I’ve heard some Meijer are letting you use more than 1, but YMMV.

   Lovin’ your site!! Just a quick question though - the pasta sauce coupons say on them: ‘One coupon per transaction.’ Will they allow me to use all 10 at once, or will I have to do each one separately and lose the 11th one free? Thanks

   You’re right! I’d forgotten about the one per transaction. I knew about the ‘not valid with any other coupon offer’ but I’d forgotten about that. Some stores will still allow it–it really is up to the store. I’ll amend the scenario.

   I know your not talking about Krogers this week but did you know that you can go to the P&G savers web site and down load coupons onto your Kroger Plus card? Just an fyi for you.

   Yes, I love esavers! There’s also shortcuts.com. Did you know those combine with manufacturer coupons? They layer on top of your regular savings!

    Just got back from Meijer :o( Man did they make me feel like a thief!! Tried to do what you had listed here, and I ended up surrounded by cashier, front end supervisor, people from HBA, and a store manager supposedly on her way (waited 15 mins for the manager-who NEVER showed up). I was told items purchased HAD to be what was pictured in ad - no trial size items. I showed them in ad it said ‘ANY’ but that didn’t matter. This is why I gave up couponing before - they make you feel like you were caught shoplifting!

    Tonya, I’m sorry that happened to you! This deal has run several times over the past two years, and trial sizes were allowed in all past times. I did this deal exactly as described on Monday and had no issues! I have heard that some people came in on Sunday and cleaned out many Meijer of the trial sizes….and I guess some Meijer aren’t so happy about it. Honestly, when 2-3 people get all of the product off the shelves, I would agree. Meijer usually will limit the amount you can buy in one order, so I’m surprised that didn’t kick into effect! Anyway, I’m sorry you ran into trouble!

    OK, this is not a Meijer question, but rather a Walgreens ques. Are the RR based on the amount you spend before store & manufacturer coupons, or after coupons?

    I’m new to your site and I’m very excited about saving money! I went to Meijer today and used your plan and got all my free suff! How exciting! The only problem was that at my Meijer the Speedstick was $1.17 so I opted to just get more soap instead. I also went to see if the Mal-O-Meal was still on sale Buy2 Get2 but it wasn’t. I also did not see the Bandaids on sale for .99(I shop @ the Colerain Meijer) In the end I used my last $5.00 voucher to buy stuff I needed(Bounce and MetRx Bars-I had coupons for these too!) I ended up spending $6.88(thats including tax) Thanks!

    Great Job Christine!!! $6.88 is a great price!

    That’s one thing to always keep in mind–sometimes with major chains like Walmart, Meijer and Kroger, prices can vary slightly from store to store. Thanks for the update on the Malt-O-Meal. I’ll remove that one. But take those q’s over to Walmart where they’re still free! (at most stores!)

    Ok, I want to know what Meijer store you go to! LOL I went to the one out on Fields Ertle & Montgomery road because they are usually more stocked than the others, but this time they weren’t. I sae on hotcouponworld that several people were using the trial size p&g products for the $10 gift card, well, I tried it and it didn’t work. Almost the same thing happened to me as it did Tonya. I did the u-scan and the gift card didnt work and the lady yelled at me and said it wouldnt work on trials, I showed her the ad and she still said IT DOESNT WORK ON TRIALS!!! I would have argued to talk to a manager, but I was done with it, I just made her take it all off of my transaction! I’m going to try what you have listed tomorrow if there are any trial sizes left lol! I would think it would work since there were a lot of trial sized items gone from the shelves!

    Emily, I’m sorry for the problems! HCW and other sites are now reporting that Meijer put up signs yesterday saying the trial sizes don’t work on the P&G deal. I was a little concerned they would, which is why I didn’t post it here on the blog about using trial sizes on the P&G deal. However, I have heard of an even better deal–buy 6 Crest Pro Health regular size, use 6 .75 coupons (or $1 ones if you have them.) They are B2G1 free this week, so after coupon your total ranges from $4 to $4.50 for six toothpastes and you get the $10 gift card. YMMV on getting the full 6 coupons through–technically you are purchasing the two free ones, but some stores will not allow it. Some will. Good luck!!!

    BTW, I believe the trial sized Colgate deal is still working, since its a Catalina. Its only on the P&G products that people are reporting problems.

    I went to Meijer’s on Gilmore Road in Fairfield today. They were totally sold out of the Pert, the Colgate trial sizes didn’t generate the $5 coupon, but I did get two bottles of CoverGirl foundation for free! The BOGO sale sign had been removed from the foundation but was still on the other products. However, when I checked out, I still got the BOGO sale. I didn’t try the Safeguard trial size items - they only had two bars of soap left anyway! All in all, it was still pretty fun to get something for free! And I can always use the toothpaste! Thanks!

    Wow! Just got back from two trips to Meijer today. Your advice worked beautifully at both Harrison and Colerain. Don’t worry everyone, I left plenty of trial sizes for others! Thank you so much! This is my first try at real couponing. I bought your guide and I’ve got my zipper binder all organized and ready. That is such a great idea for keeping the q’s organized. I’m also so glad for those of you who suggested donating some of those freebies to the Free Store. What a great idea. Thank you so much everyone and especially LMKIA! I had to buy some needed items that weren’t on sale but I think overall I saved close to $100 today! If there is a charity you like that I could help support as a way of showing my gratitude, please let me know.

    Yep, I went to Meijer in Eastgate, sold out of pretty much all trial sizes, out of the J&J buddies shampoo and soaps as well. So I made the trek to the Milford Meijer, tried the Colgate deal, and still didn’t get a Catalina I would do the crest deal if I hadn’t already used all of my crest coupons this week at CVS and Target! Oh well! Hopefully someone else can use the deal! I did however save a lot of money with the b3g3 mac and cheese deal in combo with the All You Magazine Kraft coupons!

    Also at meijer until tomorrow, you can use the mealbox coupon for $1/1 box of Nabisco crackers, specifically the Cheese Nips that are on sale for $1 this week and get them free!!

    I couldn’t find Cheese Nips at my store…not even a spot on the shelf for them!

    Meijer does sometimes accept Target coupons…its very much YMMV.

    Don’t forget the Nabisco Oreo’s deal–buy 2 Oreo’s for $5, get a free gallon of milk. Use a .75/2 to make them $4. Buy four, and you’ll get $10 off any 3 packages of Hanes!!! Talk about a STEAL!

    I live a little more north than most people and went to the Meijer in Middletown. The trial sized offer didn’t work, but that’s okay, I tried. I got a good deal on the mac n cheese with the All You coupon though and felt like I got a steal on the foundation spaghetti sauce. I am very, very new to all of this, so I feel great anytime I save money! Thanks for the tips!!

    11th hour shopper — literally! Just got back from Meijer. I shop at the Fields Ertel Meijer.
    My husband’s favorite toothpaste is the the Crest Lemon Ice Expressions. Well, when I finally found it (top shelf, hidden behind a pillar and virtually unreachable), I caught a glimpse of an orange tag — they are discontinuing it. It was only $2.23. ($2.23×6=13.38-1.00q, $10gc). Net, 6 crest toothpastes for $2.38. I did it on two separate orders. I have a years supply… hopefully long enough to find a new favorite flavor.

    Irish spring trials worked for me (again, husbands favorite soap), but upon looking at my last receipt of the night, I realized they didn’t give me the Cover Girl BOGO. I used my coupon for BOGO, but still got charged for one. Do you think they will credit that back? Was the sale on those in effect through end of day on Sat.8/9?

    You should go back today or tomorrow to get that back. Take in the ad, if you can. The coupon should be on the receipt…and they should refund you that!
